About us.

Keith worked for 15 years as a Production Engineer in the electronics industry for a company which made products as diverse as central heating controls to circuit boards for Exercet missiles. During that time he served an apprenticeship as a multi skilled technician and went on to be the Production Engineer on the Lumenition electronic ignition production line. This was followed by 8 years as a Manager in the automotive industry, developing products for customers such as Audi, Porsche, Toyota and Jaguar. This involved working in the USA and Japan and the final 3 years of that time was spent in Germany as an R & D Project Manager for Valeo at their “Centre of Excellence for Automotive Research in Stuttgart. Keith returned to the UK in 2003 and led a team of Consultant Engineers for Durham University.

Our passion is classic vehicles and our family has a collection including several motorcycles, 2 steam engines and several tractors. In 2005 we began to develop a unit to replace the Lucas K2F magneto with an electronic ignition. This product became very successful and over a short period of time the product range grew and sales increased.

We have invested heavily in automatic machinery in order to be able to offer high quality products and competitive prices. We have a large machining centre which was formerly owned by Williams Grand Prix Engineering and we intend to constantly increase our range of innovative products. We have Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacture capabilities as well as a team of specialists who work for Classic Solutions when required to provide additional engineering support.

We can design and manufacture small batches of parts for classic vehicles from sketches, drawings or sample parts. So if the piston is leaking on your steam engine you know where to come (yes we have made those too). We hope you enjoy looking around our web site and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Regards

The Team at Classic Solutions.
